This Weekend in Baseball
Posted on July 23rd, 2007 in Uncategorized |
Anyone watch the Yankees this weekend? 45 runs in three games. Granted, it was the Devil Rays, a pathetic excuse for a baseball team. And granted, the Yankees lost the first of the four-game series. (What is wrong with Mike Mussina?) But still…the Bombers looked pretty good.
And so did the Red Sox, sweeping Chicago. Sure looks like they’ve come out of their swoon. John Lesterâhappily cancer-freeâstarts tonight against an Indians pitcher with an ERA of 6.
All boosterism aside, this race looks like it’s going to be a hot one…..

If only the Yankees could be confident of winning games when they score fewer than 21 runs. Sigh.

The Sox didn’t sweep the series with Chicago. It was a four-game series and they lost the first game, on Thurs.
Nevertheless, your overall point certainly stands.

Yup, thank you, 11:00. And yes, 10:01, agreed.
