Floyd Abrams—Over the Hill?
A couple weeks ago, I voiced my opinion that Floyd Abrams' best days as a First Amendment advocate were behind him. All right, there may have been a couple ad hominem remarks thrown in, based on my own unpleasant experience with Mr. Abrams.
Now, somewhat more articulately,
Jack Shafer on Slate makes a similar argument. While arguing on behalf of Time reporter Matt Cooper, Abrams "appeared green and confused to even the legal laity in the courtroom audience," Shafer says....
